Video design for Walter Li’s graduation concert in a black-box theatre. Two pieces: 向西遊記 and AAA. The evening leaned on Japanese cultural motifs, while 向西遊記 draws from a Chinese classic — Japanese-style door painting was mixed with Chinese drawing so the video could read like an unfolding book scroll. AAA borrows from Japanese animation and games; Mario and Tamagotchi appear in the cut. The close aimed at a floor-height goddess filling the black box, a single large impact for the room.
